Krystle

Senior Instructor · Community Manager · Curriculum Development

Krystle first met Anandi in 2016, before peiec® existed in the form it does today.

Not long afterwards, Krystle came to Anandi while experiencing chronic back pain and a chest infection. During that session, Anandi began working with her in a way she had never used before. What emerged became the first application of what would later develop into the five layers of self. By the end of the session, Krystle’s back pain and chest infection had disappeared.

Neither of them could have known at the time what had begun.

There from the beginning

As the work continued to unfold, Krystle stayed.

She worked alongside Anandi in clinic, received from her extensively and was personally mentored by her. When Anandi began teaching groups and new techniques and applications emerged during live teaching, Krystle was frequently the person lying on the table or sitting in front of her as something new appeared for the first time.

She experienced the work before there was a completed methodology to learn.

As the early layered work expanded into energetic and non-contact techniques, physical work, increasingly subtle touch, spatial work, perception and stillness, Krystle was there – receiving it, practising it, observing it and developing alongside it.

This gives her an unusual relationship with peiec®. She has not simply spent many years learning the work. She has spent many years inside its development.

More than learning techniques

Over time, Krystle’s role naturally changed.

Years of receiving from Anandi, applying the work to herself, practising with others and being present as the methodology developed gave her a depth of experience that could not have come simply from learning the techniques themselves.

This is particularly important within peiec®, where development does not end when a technique has been understood.

The person continues to change.

Something Krystle experienced one way in the early years could become very different years later. Her perception changed. Her touch changed. What she could recognise changed. Her experience of stillness changed.

That continuing development is part of what she now brings to students.

Teaching peiec®

Today, Krystle is a Senior Instructor within peiec® and works closely with Anandi across teaching, curriculum development and the continuing evolution of the student pathway.

She mentors students, supports their practice and development, and provides individual peiec® sessions for students as part of their ongoing learning. Having experienced so much of the work directly from Anandi over many years, she is also able to provide students with another reference point for work they may initially have encountered only through teaching or their own practice.

As Community Manager, Krystle provides continuity across the wider peiec® community. She knows the students, understands where they are within the pathway and has watched many of them develop over considerable periods of time.

Her role is therefore much broader than teaching material.

She helps hold the environment in which people learn it.

The first conversation

Krystle is also the person prospective students speak with when they apply for The First Gate.

These conversations are deliberately personal. peiec® asks people to participate, practise, receive from others and genuinely work with themselves, and the pathway will not suit everyone.

Having been part of peiec® since its earliest beginnings, Krystle understands what entering the work actually asks of a person. She also knows the longer pathway beyond those first eight months and has known and worked with the students who have travelled it.

Her role in the application process is therefore about suitability rather than enrolment: understanding why someone is drawn to the work, what they are looking for at this point in their life and whether The First Gate appears to be the right place for them to begin.
