peiec® is an original body of work encompassing physical, energetic, touch, spatial, perceptual and other experiential practices and applications. Education may include self-application, body-based practices, subtle touch, non-contact energetic techniques, partner work and, where applicable, practitioner education.
Information provided through Peiec International websites, courses, educational pathways, demonstrations, workshops, immersions, events and educational materials is provided for educational and informational purposes and is not intended to constitute medical, psychiatric, psychological or other regulated healthcare advice.
peiec® is not a substitute for appropriate medical or mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment or emergency care.
You should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical or mental health condition and before participating where you are uncertain whether a peiec® practice or activity is appropriate for you.
When Additional Care May Be Required
Some peiec® practices or activities may not be appropriate for every person or in every circumstance.
Additional caution, modification, postponement or medical clearance may be appropriate in circumstances including:
- pregnancy, particularly during the first trimester;
- implanted electronic or medical devices, including pacemakers;
- recent surgery or medical procedures;
- acute injury, trauma or significant inflammation;
- serious or unstable medical conditions;
- acute or unstable psychiatric or psychological conditions;
- circumstances in which a person is under active medical or psychiatric care and participation may affect that care; or
- any other circumstance in which participation may reasonably be inappropriate or require modification.
This is not an exhaustive list.
The presence of a particular condition or circumstance does not necessarily mean that all peiec® practices are inappropriate. Different techniques and activities may involve different precautions.
Participants should disclose information reasonably relevant to safe participation where requested and should not participate in a practice or activity where they have been advised by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional not to do so.
Peiec International may modify, decline, pause or discontinue a particular activity or participation where we reasonably consider this appropriate for safety or suitability.
Medical Treatment
Peiec International does not advise participants to discontinue, delay or replace medical, psychiatric, psychological or other professional treatment.
Participants should not alter prescribed medication, treatment or professional care on the basis of information provided through Peiec International without first consulting the appropriately qualified healthcare professional responsible for that care.
In an emergency or where urgent medical or psychiatric assistance is required, participants should seek appropriate emergency or professional assistance rather than relying upon a Peiec International offering, peiec® practice, practitioner or educational resource.
Learning and Applying peiec®
Peiec International education may involve self-application, practical exercises, working with and receiving from other participants, physical contact, subtle touch, non-contact techniques, movement, observation and other experiential learning.
Participants are responsible for working within their reasonable physical and personal limits, following applicable safety and participation guidance, and communicating relevant concerns where reasonably necessary for safe participation.
Students who progress into practitioner education or professional application receive further education concerning appropriate application, precautions, contraindications, professional boundaries and circumstances in which a technique should be modified, postponed or not applied.
Students and practitioners are responsible for working within the scope of their peiec® education and any professional, legal, insurance or regulatory obligations applicable to them.
Individual Responses
Individual experiences and responses to peiec® practices vary.
No particular physical, health, emotional, personal, developmental or other outcome is guaranteed.
Testimonials, case observations, study findings, demonstrations and participant experiences describe individual experiences or findings and should not be interpreted as a promise that another person will experience the same result.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.
